Necessary Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a Government recognized University approved by the AICTE.

Necessary Educational Qualification: A candidate must have successfully completed a three-year diploma program in civil engineering from a school approved by the government.
APSC's additional recruitment criteria
Age Limit: Candidates for the position of assistant Civil engineer must be at least 21 years old and no older than 38 years old as of January 1, 2023.
OR
for Junior Civil Engineer As of January 1, 2023, the applicants should not be younger than 18 or older than 38.

Residentship:
- An Assamese permanent resident is required for application.
