SEBA Re-Checking of Answer Scripts, Assam HSLC Exam 2024



The Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) has declared the results of the HSLC Examination, 2024 on 20th April 2024 at 10:30 AM. The SEBA HSLC Exam, 2024 was conducted between 16th February to 4th March 2024. SEBA provides the option of re-checking the answer scripts for the candidates dissatisfied with their results declared on 20th April 2024. To avail of the rechecking option provided by SEBA, candidates need to apply online within the stipulated time. Candidates can apply for rechecking of answer scripts and scanned copies of answer scripts

Application Fee for SEBA Re-Checking

Students who wish to examine their answer scripts and acquire scanned copies will be required to pay an application fee in order to complete the online application process. The applicable fees for each service type are listed below.

Mode of Payment: Candidates have to pay the above applicable application fee through online payment modes. No application will be accepted without a fee.


SEBA Re-Checking Process

The candidate shall note that the Re-Checking of the Answer Script shall not mean Re-Evaluation of the Answer Scripts. Re-Checking shall include the following.


  1. Re-totalling of Marks awarded by the Examiner.
  2. Assessment of Answer (s) which has/have been left out unevaluated.
  3. Correction of wrong entry of marks of any manner/nature.

The Results of Re-checking will be informed to the Applicant through a Notification within 30 days from the last date of receipt of the application. The Marks sheet/ Certificates to the candidates, in case of any change, will be issued on submission of the Original Marks sheet/ Certificates in the Board’s Office through the Head of the concerned School with the intimation of the Head of the Institution. No such Marks sheet/ Certificates will be sent directly to the School/ candidate or through any other agency.

Important Dates of SEBA Re-Checking


Candidates can apply online for Rechecking of Answer Scripts through the official website of SEBA within the stipulated time. Candidates must visit the official website of SEBA, Assam for the latest notifications and regular updates including links related to rechecking. Also, candidates can follow the following steps to complete their online application process of rechecking.


  1. Scroll down, and check the Important Link section.
  2. Click on the SEBA Rechecking Portal link.
  3. Now, an official web portal will load in the new tab of your browser.
  4. Read all the instructions carefully and prepare the required details and documents.
  5. Enter your Roll Code and Roll Number in the relevant fields of the Apply Now section.
  6. After that click on Proceed button.
  7. Select either only re-checking or photocopy with re-checking of the evaluated answer scripts.
  8. Select the subjects for which you want to apply for re-checking or photocopy with re-checking.
  9. Upload the scanned copy of your Admit Card in .jpeg, .jpg or .png format and the file size should be within 500KB.
  10. Provide your contact details in the space provided.
  11. Check carefully all the information provided by you. (SEBA is not responsible for any unprocessed applications due to wrong information provided by the candidates).
  12. Proceed to make payment by clicking the CONFIRM AND PAY ONLINE button.
  13. Enter the necessary details on the online payment page. Click on the blue coloured Pay Now button on the bottom right to confirm the payment.
  14. After making a successful payment, you will get your ARN Number (Application Receipt Number) in your mobile number. You may download your invoice for the payment. (Keep it safe for future reference).
  15. You can use your ARN further to check the status of your application on the website.
