Govt. of Assam has launched a common online admission portal called SAMARTH Admission Portal for the admission process of BA, BCom, BSc, etc in online mode as per New Education Policy 2020 in Assam.
SAMARTH Admission Portal Overview
Under the National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT-II) (now NMEICT-III), the Ministry of Education launched the "Samarth" initiative in 2019. The program's goal is to provide universities and Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) with a digital framework for the planning, management, delivery, and monitoring of services for students, staff, and other stakeholders. A completely managed, cloud-based, all-inclusive ERP that is specially designed for HEIs across the nation is given to them as part of the project.

The Assam State Higher Education Admission Portal is an integrated admission portal that allows students to apply to all government and aided colleges and universities in Assam in order to be admitted to the degree and institution of their choice. Now, students wouldn't need to go to different locations to turn in their admission forms.
Additionally, students who register on the portal have the option to apply to ten universities of their choosing. On the basis of merit, the student would be admitted to the college and course of their choice. In addition to being practical, the portal would help students save money.

Uploading Documents at Samarth Portal Assam
Students need to upload the following documents in desired formats as well as sizes to complete their application process.

How to Apply for Assam College Admission?
Students who have passed Higher Secondary (HS) final examination and want to get admission into Bachelor's Degree courses now have to apply online through Samarth Portal. The Samarth Online Admission Process has been mentioned below.
- Scroll down, go to Important Web-Link's section.
- Click Online Application Form Link.
- First Register yourself putting your basic details.
- Next, enter all personal and educational information as required.
- Upload your educational and other documents as required.
- At the end, submit the form. An acknowledgement receipt will be generated.
- Also, take a print of the submitted form and acknowledgement copy .
Students can give 10 options of UG programme in Colleges/University in the application
