IBPS RRB Recruitment 2024 – 9995 Officer & Office Assistant Posts


Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) released the IBPS RRB 2024 Notification on 7th June 2024 for 9995 vacancies and the online applications have also commenced from 7th June 2024 onwards for office assistant (Clerk), Officer Scale-I (Assistant Manager), Officer Scale 2 (Manager) and Office Scale 3 (Senior Manager) post vacancies.


Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements can apply for the IBPS RRB starting on June 7th, and the application deadline is June 27th. The online application can be submitted at www.ibps.in, the official website of the IBPS. IBPS RRB Vacancy 2024

On June 7, 2024, the notification and post- and category-specific openings for the IBPS RRB recruitment 2024 (CRP RRBs XIII) exam are released. For the RRB Office Assistant and Officer Scale-I, II, and III positions, IBPS released 9995 openings. There are 5585 openings for clerk (office assistant), 3499 for PO (officer scale 1), and 911 for scale 2 and 3 positions. The distribution of post-wise vacancies is shown below.

IBPS RRB 2024 Eligibility Criteria

IBPS RRB 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The candidates must have completed the following eligibility criteria to apply for IBPS RRB 2024. The IBPS RRB Eligibility Criteria include education qualification, age limit, and experience, which have been detailed here.


IBPS RRB Age Limit 

  1. For Officer Scale- III- Candidates should be above 21 years old and below 40 years old.
  2. For Officer Scale-II- Candidates should be above 21 years old and below 32 years old.
  3. For Officer Scale- I- Candidates should be above 18 years old and below 30 years old.
  4. For Office Assistant (Multipurpose) – Candidates should be above 18 years and below 30 years old.


Eligibility Criteria

Requirement

Nationality / Citizenship

  1. a Citizen of India or a subject of Nepal or
  2. a subject of Bhutan or
  3. a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 intending to permanently settle in India or
  4. a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

Age Limit

For Office Assistant (Multipurpose)- Between 18 years and 28 years i.e. candidates should have not been born earlier than 02.06.1996 and later than 01.06.2006 (both dates inclusive). 
For Officer Scale-I (Assistant Manager)- Above 18 years - Below 30 years i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than 03.06.1994 and later than 30.06.2006 (both dates inclusive). 
For Officer Scale-II (Manager)- Above 21 years - Below 32 years i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than 03.06.1992 and later than 31.05.2003 (both dates inclusive). 
For Officer Scale-III (Senior Manager)- Above 21 years - Below 40 years i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than 03.06.1984 and later than 31.05.2003 (both dates inclusive). 

Language Proficiency

Candidates applying for the posts of Office Assistant in any particular RRB are required to possess proficiency in the local language of the State/ UT in which the RRB is situated to be eligible for interview.

 


Educational Qualification & Experience

The candidates should hold the minimum required qualification as mentioned in the below table from a recognized University/Board. Check the academic qualifications and experience required to apply for the posts released by Regional Rural Banks in India from the table below.

i. Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent Preference 
will be given to the candidates having degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, 
Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, 
Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics or Accountancy;
ii. Proficiency in local language as prescribed by the participating RRB/s*
iii. Desirable: working knowledge of Computer.

Officer Scale-II General Banking Officer (Manager)

 Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent 
with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Preference will be given to the candidates having degree in 
Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, 
Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, 
Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy.

 Two years as an officer in a Bank or Financial Institution.

Officer Scale-II Specialist Officers (Manager)

 Information Technology Officer
Bachelor’s degree from a recognised University in Electronics / Communication / Computer Science / 
Information Technology or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Desirable:
Certificate in ASP, PHP, C++, Java, VB, VC, OCP etc.

 One year (in the relevant field)

Chartered Accountant
Certified Associate (CA) from Institute of Chartered Accountants of of India.

 One Year as a Chartered Accountant. 

Law Officer
Degree from a recognised University in Law or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

Two years as an advocate or should have worked as Law Officer in Banks or Financial Institutions for a period of not less than two years

Treasury Manager
Chartered Accountant or MBA in Finance from a recognized university/ institution

One Year (in the relevant field)

Marketing Officer
MBA in Marketing from a recognized university

 One Year (in the relevant field)

Agricultural Officer
Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Dairy/ Animal Husbandry/ Forestry/ Veterinary Science/ 
Agricultural Engineering/ Pisciculture or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate

Two Years (in the relevant field)

Officer Scale-III (Senior Manager)

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent 
with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Preference will be given to the candidates having Degree/ 
Diploma in Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, 
Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Co-operation, 
Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy.

Minimum 5 years experience as an Officer in a Bank or Financial Institutions 

 




Note:

1. All the educational qualifications mentioned should be from a University/ Institution/ Board recognised by Govt. Of India/ approved by Govt. Regulatory Bodies.

ii. Proper document from Board / University has to be submitted at the time of interview for the posts of Officers (Scale I, II and III) and at the time of joining for the post of Office Assistant (Multipurpose).

IBPS RRB Selection Process 2024

The IBPS RRB Selection Process involves two stages: Prelims and Mains. On the other hand, the IBPS PO or Officer Scale I examination involves three stages: Prelims, Mains, and Interviews. As for the IBPS Officer Grade II (General Banking Officer and Specialist Cadre) and III, there is a single-window exam known as the IBPS Officer Grade II Exam, followed by an Interview. To secure a position in any of these posts, candidates must successfully clear each stage of the respective examinations.

IBPS RRB Exam Pattern 2024

As you know the IBPS RRB recruits candidates for two posts, i.e. Office Assistant/Clerk and Officer Scale. Therefore, the exam process is different for each of the exams.


IBPS RRB Office Assistant Exam Pattern

The IBPS RRB Assistant 2024, Exam will be conducted in two phases:


  1.  Preliminary Exam
  2.  Mains Exam

No interview process will be conducted for selecting candidates for the post of Office Assistant. Selection will be made purely on the marks obtained by the candidate in his/her Mains Examination.


There will be a penalty of 0.25 marks for every incorrect response marked by the candidate. The test will be objective in nature
